LenSx Femtosecond Laser
During cataract or refractive lens exchange surgery The LenSx laser system performs some of the more challenging and delicate steps of cataract surgery using a blade-free laser instead of manually performing these steps with an instrument. ORA with VerifEye+
Before your cataract or refractive lens exchange surgery, the ORA™ system is used to predict if the chosen intraocular lens implant (IOL) will provide optimal results for you. Based on this information, Dr. Conlon can make adjustments to the chosen IOL as needed. The ORA system also provides real-time micro-measurements during cataract surgery. This guides Dr. Conlon during IOL placement, allowing him to make necessary adjustments. This leads to an optimal outcome, as your surgeon is able to verify mid-surgery that the correct strength of IOL is chose and that the IOL is properly placed.

Iris registration technology provides precise tracking of your eye. A high resolution photograph of your specific iris details is used to create your unique iris “fingerprint”. The STAR S4 IR laser uses this high resolution image to accounts for the natural changes in eye position and movement ensuring exact alignment and centration of your customized iDesign treatment.
ActiveTrak 3-D Active Eye Tracking and ActiveTrak Automatic Centering work throughout your treatment, in conjunction with the iDesign Iris Registration technology, to track more than 99.4% of eye movements. Using this information the STAR S4 IR laser re-aligns before delivering every laser pulse ensuring your treatment is centred and accurately position on your eye.
Variable Repetition Rate (VRR) technology continuously changes the pulse rate of the laser beam to minimize the laser’s thermal impact on your cornea and optimize the treatment time.
Variable Spot Scanning (VSS) allows varying size of the laser beam. Varying laser beam sizes give Dr. Conlon the ability to further customize your treatment to correct the optical imperfections while preserving as much corneal tissue as possible.
